1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Pykes plumbing and heating services ("we", "our", or "us") provides plumbing and heating services to you ("the customer", "you"). By asking us to carry out work or by using our website, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes and Estimates
- Quotes and estimates are provided free of charge and without obligation.
- A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- An estimate is our best assessment of likely cost and may change. Where additional work, materials or unforeseen issues arise, we will discuss this with you and agree any extra cost before proceeding wherever possible.
- All prices are in pounds sterling. Please check whether VAT applies to your job.
3. Carrying Out the Work
- We carry out all work with reasonable skill and care and to a professional standard.
- All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- We agree a date and time with you in advance. Times may occasionally be affected by earlier jobs, emergencies or circumstances beyond our control, and we will let you know as soon as possible if this happens.
- You agree to provide safe access to the property and a supply of water and electricity as needed to complete the work.
4. Your Responsibilities
- Please ensure we have clear, safe access to the work area, and that pets, children and valuables are kept clear.
- Please tell us about anything that may affect the work, such as the location of pipes, cables or known faults.

5. Materials and Parts
- Unless otherwise agreed, we supply the materials and parts needed for the job, and their cost is included in your quote or invoice.
- Where you supply your own materials, we cannot accept responsibility for their quality or suitability, and our labour guarantee may not apply.
- Materials and parts remain our property until paid for in full.
6. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For larger jobs, we may request a deposit or staged payments, agreed with you before work begins.
- Accepted payment methods and invoice terms will be confirmed with you.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
